Tragedy
Today something happened in my entire family that is one of the most tragic and sad incident. It shook the entire family network and when I heard the news I could not bring myself to accept the fact. In the morning at around 3 am, one of my cousin met with a car accident on her way home. She was taking a cab with her friends and she is the only one who got seriously injured. It's a hit and run accident but the good news is that the vehicle's car plate number was left on the scene and I heard that it was DRINK DRIVIG. My god! Imagine how fast the vehicle was driving when it hit the cab as the incident happen at small road near Gek Poh Shopping Centre at Jurong West!!!!!! My mum and god mum called me in the morning at around 7am to inform me the news but I was sleeping so my sister dropped me a sms to tell me the news. Initially I thought that it was nothing serious but when my god mum (who was at the hospital) told me she condition, I almost cry as I cannot imagine that something like this would happen.
My grandmother was crying non stop and it simply breaks my heart to see everyone so devasted including me. This cousin of mine is like half sister to be as we have the same god mother who took care and pampered us like her own daughter. We went to the same secondary, went to house practice together and even played in the rain and got scolding together. I and 3 cousins (all gals) were very close when we are in secondary schools, all of us are in the same house cause our school allow family members to be in the same house. Although we are in different class and year but we will help each other in times of need (I am always the one asking for help) and even if it means of getting into trouble together. But after we graduated, all of us are so busy with our own life, we seldom see each other unless there are family events and of course CNY.
I intend to visit her after school today but my mum & god mum called and ask me to go tml cause my cousin have gone for an operation which would last 5 hours. My god mum tells me that my cousin could not really felt anything from neck down which is totally scary, the doctors are going to remove bone fragments from her neck cause the bone crash into pieces and have to take the bone from her butt to joint back and only have 50% of recovery. She have to stay in the hospital for months to come and after that she still need to go the physical therapy. Till now I till cannot bring myself to accept the fact that something like this happen and I am afraid that I will break down tml when I go and visit her at the hospital.
